Yes, Granada Has Monuments, But There’s a Lot More
Welcome to Granada, one of Europe’s most breathtaking monumental cities, an obligatory stop on everyone’s Spanish itinerary. A visit to the Alhambra Moorish fortress and palace will not disappoint you. Nor will its beautiful Generalife Gardens. But for those of you who love art and like to get on the inside of the places you travel to, Granada has more to offer. Why not include a visit to the studio of an outstanding artist who has worked in Granada for almost 40 years?
You Are Invited to Share a Glass of Champagne with the Artist
The Anglo-Spanish painter and printmaker, Maureen Booth, invites you to make an appointment to visit her studio, share a glass of champagne and some light refreshment (in Spanish “tapas”), chat with the artist and see her latest paintings and prints. Small groups of up to six persons are welcomed. Maureen’s studio is just 15 minutes outside of the city in a bucolic setting at the edge of a village in the Sierra Nevada foothills. In springtime you can hear the nightingales sing day and night in the willows along the River Genil just below. If you see a painting or print you would like to have, you can purchase it from the artist herself. You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to and from the studio.

It’s Easy to Make a Reservation
Booking a visit to Maureen’s studio is as easy as making a phone call. Just dial 658 953399 and you will speak personally with Maureen herself. It’s as simple as that. Reservations are usually made at least a day in advance, but there are sometimes visits available on the same day.
